In February 2020, HOT COOKIE opened a second location at 1817 Polk St. At the time, Polk was one of several popular emerging residential areas in SF advantageously situated between the Financial District, Union Square, and the Embarcadero. Then COVID hit and the world changed overnight! This article explores the changing nature of Polk St. and the many businesses that make it a uniquely San Francisco neighborhood.
