Cookie Credits
Last updated: September 9, 2026
Every cookie you buy earns you credits. Spend them on cookies, or on getting them to your door. Same credits in the store and online — one balance, yours either way.
How you earn
You earn one Cookie Credit for every qualifying item you buy — cookies, macaroons, brownies and Cookie of the Month among them. A dozen cookies is twelve credits, whether you pick them up on Castro or have them shipped across the country.
Gift boxes count by what is inside. A box of twelve earns twelve.
Credits are earned on the items themselves. Shipping, delivery, taxes and gift cards do not earn credits.
How you spend them
Twelve credits are worth $5.25.
In our stores, that is $5.25 off one of the cookies or treats that earn credits.
Online, it is $5.25 off the cookies and treats on your order — the same items that earn credits, boxes included. It does not come off shipping, delivery, gift cards or anything else on the order.
Credits are spent in blocks of twelve. Twenty-four credits is $10.50, thirty-six is $15.75, and so on. You will see what you have and what you can spend at checkout.
Credits cannot be used to buy gift cards, and cannot be combined with a coupon code on the same order.
Joining
You are in automatically the first time you buy something. We use the phone number on your order to keep track of your credits, which is how the same balance follows you between our stores and this website.
You can see your balance any time on your account page. If you would rather not take part, you can leave the program from there too.
About text messages
We do not do SMS marketing. We are not going to start.
Our rewards program runs on Square, and Square is able to send its own messages about your credits — but only to people who have agreed to Square’s terms directly with them. If you joined by ordering online, you have not, and Square will not message you. If you would like those updates, you can opt in on your Square loyalty status page. That is your call to make with them, not something we do to you.
Refunds
If we refund an order, the credits it earned come off your balance. Credits you already spent on that order are not returned — you paid less at the time, so a refund gives back what you actually paid.
Expiry
Cookie Credits don’t expire. Take as long as you like.
The fine print
Cookie Credits are a rewards program, not a gift card and not money.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Credits cannot be bought, transferred, sold, or given to someone else.
- Credits belong to the account that earned them.
- We may change or end the program at any time. If we end it, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to spend what you have.
- Credits earned by mistake, or through anything that looks like gaming the program, can be removed.
- Wholesale orders, orders we place on your behalf, and subscription renewals do not earn credits.
